Food Fest Ellsworth, a celebration of local food and food systems supported by the city of Ellsworth and Union River Center for Innovation, will begin on Friday, Sept. 26, the same weekend as the Autumn Gold Festival.
Food Fest will feature live music, a Market on Main and passports that participants can have stamped for savings at area businesses through Saturday, Oct. 4.
Food Fest Ellsworth and Market on Main are part of “a larger effort to grow Ellsworth into a vibrant hub of the Downeast food system,” said a press release. The events aim to “build momentum to support farmers and food entrepreneurs, reduce hunger, celebrate local abundance and provide education about food system sustainability.”
